This week, Lt. Gov. Matt Pinnell and legislative leaders held the first meeting of the Legislative Evaluation and Development (LEAD) Committee, an initiative to boost Oklahoma’s economy by attracting and retaining businesses.
The LEAD Committee, created through recent legislation, will collaborate with the Oklahoma Department of Commerce to review and advance economic projects. The Oklahoma Business Roundtable played a key role in the development and approval of SB 1447 and HB 3252, which restructure the Commerce Department to prioritize economic and community development.
We are proud of the progress made since convening economic leaders over a year ago. Together, we are enhancing Oklahoma's competitiveness and fostering community growth.
